“American Ninja Warrior” Teaches Entrepreneurial Lessons Too

gym-entrepreneurThe hit show “American Ninja Warrior” isn’t just about inspiring athletic excellence. According to Entrepreneur, it can also teach you valuable lessons about running a business. Entrepreneur expounds on this in a recent article titled “3 Lessons for Entrepreneurs From 'Ninja Warrior' Training.”

Stephen J. Bronner of Entrepreneur writes, “One of my favorite things about Ninja Warrior compared to other sports is the cooperative spirit shared by the competitors. You don't win by beating everyone else; you win by pushing yourself and your abilities to the max to beat the course. When you're in business, you shouldn't be focused on other businesses. Your attention should be on delivering the best product or service possible. This attitude will put you ahead of the other competitors and one step closer to the top of Mt. Midoriyama -- the ultimate goal for wannabe ninjas -- or whatever your definition of success is.”

One man in Springfield is taking it upon himself to learn these lessons. KY3 reports on this in a recent article titled “Springfield man opens 'American Ninja Warrior' gym, just like show on NBC.” According to Sara Forhetz of KY3, “Andy was eliminated early and decided what he needed was more practice on the obstacles. ‘I thought if I am going to build the obstacles, why not put them somewhere that other people can take advantage of it also.’ It has now become Mariage's livelihood, and it's gaining traction. There are adult Ninja-hopefuls, and kids alike. ‘Every year you sit by your phone and wait for that call,’ said competitor Josh Cook. Cook has been on the show three times now and done very well. He even decided to take a job working at the warrior course. ‘Every day we get people in, I want to be the next American Ninja Warrior, little kids come in… I wannna be on the show when I'm 21!’”

When it comes to getting the most out of your personal ninja activities, we’ve got you covered at Armory Replicas. Take our Hidden Dragon Practice Bokken for example.

Even though it’s more than capable of being a solid self-defense weapon in its own right, a bokken is typically used as a practice tool as a stand in for a katana or other sword with the nylon handle wrap, wooden guard, and black plastic securing ring giving it an authentic feel. This bokken features a Natural HardWood finish. It’s a solid and extremely durable unit that can also be used as a great accessory for a cosplay or Halloween costume.
