Every now and then, we all need a little Monty Python in our lives. Scottsdale will be getting their dose soon, as reported by Trib Live in a recent article titled “‘Spamalot’ brings musical hilarity to Scottdale's Geyer theater.”

Linda Harkcom of Trib Live writes, “King Arthur and his knights are bringing their search for the Holy Grail to the stage of the Geyer Performing Arts Center next weekend. Actors and Artists of Fayette County will present ‘Monty Python's Spamalot’ from Thursday through Aug. 16 at the theater, 111 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. The Tony Award-winning musical is based on the classic film comedy ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail.’ ‘Spamalot’ retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features showgirls, cows, killer rabbits, shrubbery, French people and classic characters from the iconic movie. ‘It's an even funnier version of ‘Monty Python's Holy Grail.' They have modernized a lot of the jokes, and they can get away with a lot of the things that they couldn't have back in the '70s,’ said director Michael Rohlf. The musical has a large cast, most of whom are new to musical theater, Rohlf said. ‘There is kind of a new outlook with this show because about 90 percent of the cast haven't done musical theater before,’ he said. Scott Walton of Blairsville, who will take on the role of King Arthur, is one of those in the cast who is new to musical theater. He began acting at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival and has been performing in shows at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center since 2011. He said while he has had a lot of stage experience he had never appeared in a musical before last month's AAFC production of ‘Tarzan.’”

You don’t have to be in Scottsdale to get your share of fun with King Arthur, his knights, and their search for the Holy Grail. All you need is the Sir Lancelot Round Table Dagger from Armory Replicas.

This dagger has a stainless steel blade, very large at the base, suddenly narrowing toward the point with a fuller on each side. Its intricately detailed hilt is plated with copper coloring, providing the antiqued finish of a traditional historic dagger. This dagger’s guard features the Holy Grail shielded between beautiful Celtic knot work. Lastly, A heraldic lion crests the antiqued pommel and joins the black hand grip in a traditional, almost seamless fashion.
