Product Description

Tobacco was sacred to the many different Native American tribes. The tobacco being burned in a peace pipe is believed to send one's prayers up to the Great Spirit, the creator of all that is. The beautiful Native American Ceremonial Tomahawk is a replica of artifacts unique to North America: created by Europeans as trade objects but often exchanged as diplomatic gifts. They were symbols of the choice Europeans and Native Americans faced whenever they met: one end was the pipe of peace, the other an axe of war. The blade is made of a 440 stainless steel and the poll of the axe has an aluminum peace pipe for ceremonial purposes.  The shaft is real wood with a leather straps and antiques decorative nails wrapped with faux fur running the length of the handle. The end of the axe handle has a plastic mouth piece for a fully functioning pipe.  The Native American Ceremonial Tomahawk includes a decorative talisman.
