Product Description

Capture a bit of the majesty of Ancient China with this exceptionally designed Chinese Guan Dao War Sword. Reminiscent of the Japanese Naginata, the guan dao is a form of halberd and a fierce medieval weapon in its own right. Now regarded as the traditional weapon of the famous Shaolin monks, it is an ideal practice weapon for those studying the martial arts. Measuring an impressive 53 inches, the weapon is surprisingly light at just 3.3 pounds, making it easier to wield and maneuver around with. This is in accordance with contemporary practice; its purpose being more to disarm an opponent and deflect strikes rather than to attack offensively. Constructed from high quality stainless steel with a handsome black finish, the blade is 25 inches long and comes very sharp out of the box. A FREE black nylon snap fastened sheath is included.

Specifications:
Overall Length: 53 Inches
Blade Length: 25 Inches
Blade Thickness: 2.5 mm
Handle Length: 28 Inches
Handle Material: Nylon Cord Wrapped Wood
Includes: Black leather snap fastened sheath

  1. Great featured display item Review Stars

This scimitar sword is a high quality item considering the very resonable cost. At 53" in length it is a real attention getter. The blade cover makes for a nice touch and promotes safe handling of this two handed potentially dangerous sword.
The blade has a natural rough surface as if made two hundred years ago in some far of Asian foundry. Probably best displayed hanging vertically from the round ring at the end.
Very cool item for any weapons collection or historical lecture.

I love the weight of this sword. If you aren't very strong, you won't be able to handle it. It arrived in perfect condition. I love it.
